AutoMate is a powerful tool which allows rapid construction of Windows automation routines via drag and drop without any programming. It replaces legacy batch files, scripts and custom application development, enabling complete IT Process automation without writing a single line of code.
AutoMate provides an incredibly easy-to-use, intuitive interface for developing automation applications. The basic building blocks are called actions, which are plain-English, drag-and-drop, fill-in-the-blank tools developers use to build AutoMate Tasks. Developers simply drag-and-drop actions in AutoMate Task Builder to build a series of AutoMate Steps which collectively make up the task.
AutoMate includes over 230 available actions which include extensive support for: XML, FTP/SFTP, file management, SQL, email, Active Directory, WMI, HTTP, PGP and Cryptography, DLL Calls, VB Scripts, Excel, GUI automation, Terminal Emulation, Telnet, SNMP and many more. Because AutoMate contains over 230 available actions, this list does not begin to address all the possible automated solutions that can be built and deployed using AutoMate. A task can contain any number of actions and triggers in any order creating limitless possibilities.
Triggers are AutoMate objects that cause a task to run. These include launching tasks upon schedule, when a file is added, removed or modified, when the system is Idle, when an entry is written to the system event log, when certain hardware performance thresholds are reached, when a hot-key is pressed and much more. Multiple triggers of the same or differing types may be attached to a single task.
AutoMate provides an incredibly easy-to-use, intuitive interface for developing automation applications. The new AutoMate Task Builder supports a customizable Available Actions list, multiple document support, find and replace, stack viewer and improved action search with filtering for quickly finding a desired action.
The Task Administrator is the main interface used to manage tasks and administer all aspects of AutoMate. It is used to initially create and organize AutoMate tasks and set task properties (i.e. triggers, security, logon properties). It can also be used to run tasks manually, determine task execution results, view the Automate Event Log, create/edit task triggers and set/modify global system settings (i.e. Mail Server, Proxy, Logon and other global settings).
Remote Administration allows the Task Administrator interface of a single local machine to manage tasks on multiple machines across a network. With Remote Administration enabled, tasks can be deployed to a remote AutoMate installation and executed manually from the local machine. Using remote administration, you can manage tasks on remote machines in the same way you manage tasks on the local machine. All the functionality you have for the local machine is available on any other machine once you connect to it.
Before you can automate systems, networks, and applications, you need access to databases. AutoMate provides the tools for database access, queries, and transactions with all ODBC / OLE databases. With data access, you can leverage the power of AutoMate's other automation tools to streamline IT and business processes.
AutoMate encompasses a variety of Loop, Wait and If/Else actions, adding more intelligence to tasks. Loop actions include the ability to loop files, file contents, processes, windows arrays and much more. Wait actions can pause task execution until the condition to wait for takes place. Some Wait actions include the ability to wait for a file to appear or disappear, wait for a particular window to open or close, wait for a process to start or stop or to simply wait a specified amount of time. If/Else actions can be used to determine if a process is running, if a window exists, if a file or folder exists and if the results of an expression is TRUE or FALSE, to name a few.
Reduce costs and hassles associated with developing and maintaining code, scripts, and batch files. For developers, AutoMate increases the speed of development without sacrificing power, saving time and future code maintenance hassles. For non-developers, AutoMate provides the simplicity to automate complex processes without the need for code or syntax.
With AutoMate's drag-and-drop task development capabilities, automation tasks can be created in hours, not days or weeks, and without the need for programming expertise or coding.
Network managers and IT administrators can eliminate time spent on repetitive IT processes so they can focus on other aspects of their jobs. Additionally, automation eliminates errors introduced during manual processes that often result in network downtime, delayed access to data, and user complaints. AutoMate can streamline inefficient processes and operations with reliable, repeatable, automation and eliminating errors introduced by process delays and repetitive worker activities.
With AutoMate, routines are more manageable and can be easily organized via the Task Administrator interface. With AutoMate Premium's Remote Administration capabilities, tasks can be managed or executed on remote machines in the same manner that they are managed/ran on the local machine.
