Description

Starts a timer.

Practical Usage

To start a timer so as to record the time used for one or more task steps. This action is used with the Stop Timer action, which reads the time and stops the timer, and optionally the read timer action, which reads the time without stopping the timer.

Parameters

General Tab

Timer Name

Text, Optional - Default "TimerSession1"
MARKUP: SESSION="TimerSession2"

Specifies the timer session name to identify this timer in subsequent timer steps. This allows several timers to be running simultaneously. If only working with one timer in the task, use the default setting.

This action includes the Description tab for entering a custom step description.
