Description

Populates a variable with the state (stopped, running, etc.) of a selected service.

NOTE: Services do not run on Windows 95/98/ME.

Practical Usage

Used to determine the current state of a service.

Parameters

Service Display Name

MARKUP: SERVICENAME="Task Scheduler"

Specifies the path and file name for the service.  

Variable to populate with the status text

Text, Required
MARKUP: RESULTVARIABLE="VariableName"

Specifies the AutoMate variable to populate with the status of the service.
