Description

Aggregates AutoMate managed tasks, triggers, and settings into a compressed file which can later be used to restore an AutoMate installation.

Practical Usage

Used to create a simple task that backs-up the current automate installation to a single file. To restore using this file, select System -> Restore from the Task Administrator.

Parameters

General Tab

Back up tasks and triggers

yes/no, Optional Default Yes
MARKUP: BACKUPTASKSANDTRIGGERS="no" 

When enabled, managed tasks will be included in the backup.

Back up registry settings for current user

yes/no, Optional Default No
MARKUP: BACKUPHKCU="no" 

When enabled, registry settings for the current user such as toolbar arrangement and font settings will be included in the backup

Back up registry settings for local machine

yes/no, Optional Default No
MARKUP: BACKUPHKLM="no"

When enabled, registry settings for the local machine such as task execution speed and error settings will be included in the backup.

Archive location

Text, Required
BACKUPARCHIVENAME="C:Temp\Backup"

 

Specifies the location in which to save the archive file. Click the Folder icon to navigate to the desired location or manually enter the path in the provided text-box.

Overwrite file if it exists

yes/no, Optional Default Yes
MARKUP: OVERWRITE="no" 

Specifies that if an archive file with the same name already exists, it will be overwritten with the newly created archive file.
