Opening and Closing Task Builder

When creating a managed task, the Task Builder is opened via the Task Administrator However, you can also open Task Builder directly and open task files directly from Task Builder. When opening a task file in this manner, you will be working only with the task steps. No other properties will be associated with the task (i.e. triggers, logon properties). This is called an External Task.

To open Task Builder from the Task Administrator:

To open Task Builder from Windows Start:

To close Task Builder:

NOTE: If changes were made, a dialog will appear prompting whether to save changes.

To save changes and close Task Builder:
