Transform XML Action—Setting Properties

The Transform XML action is used to transform an XML file to an HTML file using a specified XSLT file. Optionally, attributes can be specified for the output file.

To set Transform XML File properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the XML folder and double-click the Transform XML File action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. In the XML File box, click the Open Folder button , navigate to the XML file to be transformed, and click Open.

  3. In the XSLT box, click the Open Folder button, navigate to the XSLT file to use in the transformation, and click Open.

  4. In the HTML file box, click the Open Folder button, navigate to the location where you want to place the HTML file, enter a file name, and click Save.

  5. If you want to overwrite any existing file that matches the specified HTML file name, select Overwrite if file exists. If this is not selected, the step will fail if the HTML file already exists.

  6. If you want to enter attributes, click the Attributes tab, and enter attributes as follows:

  8. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  9. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
