The Stop Timer action stops a timer previously started by a prior Start Timer step. The total time elapsed between the Start and Stop timer steps of the specified name are put into the specified variable.
From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Timer folder and double-click the Stop Timer or Read Timer action or drag the action into the Steps pane. The following dialog appears:
In the Timer name field located in the General tab, enter the session name. If your task has only one timer session and you did not change the default session name en you created it (recommended), you can use the default entry (the default timer name is TimerSession1)
In the Populate variable with elapsed time box, select the variable to populate.
In the Time scale box, select hours, minutes, seconds, or milliseconds.
If you want to use a custom description, click the Description tab, select Use custom step description, and type the description. This description will display in the Steps pane in place of the default description.
To set the Description tab properties, please refer to Description Tab Options.
To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, please refer to Step Error Handling.
When finished, click OK to save settings.
