Log Off Action—Setting Properties

The Log Off action is used to end the Windows session for the current user. The computer is left running in full power mode. There are no properties to set for this action unless you want to force the log-off without notifying applications or set error handling for the step.

To set Log Off properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Session folder and double-click the Log Off action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. If you want to force an abrupt log-off, select Force log off without notifying applications. If this is selected, when the step runs, it will log off immediately without waiting for applications to prepare to close.

  3. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  4. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  5. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
