Block Input Action—Setting Properties

The Block Input action is used to block or unblock user input. It affects both mouse and keyboard action. When a task includes a block input step, user input capabilities will be restored when the task finishes. You can also use an unblock step to resume user input, or if necessary you can use CTRL+ALT+DEL to end the task.

To set Block Input properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Security folder and double-click the Block Input action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. Select Block input or Unblock input.

  3. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  4. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  5. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
