The SNMP Send Trap action is used to simulate an SNMP trap message being sent from an SNMP agent.
From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the SNMP folder and double-click the SNMP Send Trap action or drag it into the Steps pane.
In the Agent IP address parameter, enter the IP address or host name of the desired agent.
In the Community parameter, enter the SNMP community.
In the Enterprise OID field, enter the Object Identifier (OID) to which the SNMP trap is being sent. This can be entered in either numeric or string notation format.
In the Trap generic type box, select the generic trap type.
If applicable, enter the specific trap code in the Trap specific number box.
Click the Advanced tab.
If you want to use a different TCP/IP port than the default 162, enter it in the Remote port box.
To use a custom time stamp, select the check box and then enter the value and increment in the boxes below.
In the SNMP version box, select the SNMP version. The default is version 1.
To enter one or more variable bindings, click the Data Bindings tab, and then enter the properties as follows:
For each variable binding you want to add, click the Add button, enter the variable name and value, and select the appropriate syntax. Then click OK.
Repeat the process to add additional variable bindings.
Each will be listed in the Data Bindings tab.
To edit or delete entries, select the entry on the list and click the appropriate button.

When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
