Volume Action—Setting Properties

The Volume action is used to adjust the volume and tone settings for the system or to turn mute off and on. Tone settings are system-wide only, but volume settings can be set for individual devices. You might use this to set volume or tone while a particular audio task step runs, and then add another Volume step to return to the normal system settings.

To set Set Volume properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Multimedia folder and double-click the Volume action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. To set volume:

  3. To set mute, click Set mute and then select Turn mute on or Turn mute off.

  4. To set tone, click the Tone tab and enter the properties as follows:

  5. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  6. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  7. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
