The Send E-mail action sends an e-mail using the SMTP protocol. The message can be in plain text or HTML, and attachments can be included.
From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Internet folder and double-click the Send E-mail action or drag it into the Steps pane.
Enter the recipient's e-mail address in the To box, and a subject in the Subject box.
For the body of the message, do one of the following:
or paste the body of the e-mail message in the Body
box. If you are using HTML formatting, select the Is
HTML check box.
Select Use file contents as body. Then enter the path and file name in the box below, or click the Open Folder button and navigate to the file.
Click the Advanced tab and enter the appropriate e-mail addresses in the From and Reply to boxes. Enter any CC or BCC addresses you want to include.
To add one or more attachments, click the Attachments tab and enter the properties as follows:
Click the Open Folder button , navigate to the file you want to add, and click Open. Then click the Add button to add the file to the list of current attachments.
Repeat this process to add additional files.
To remove a file from the list, select it and click Remove.
To use a server other than the default e-mail server (see Setting the Default Mail Server) click the Server tab. Then enter the properties as follows:
Select Custom server settings.
Enter the server name in the Server box.
If you need to use a port other than the default, 25, enter the port number in the Port box.
To use authentication, select Use authentication and then enter the user name and password.
If you do not want to use the default proxy server as entered in Task Administrator System Options, click the Proxy tab and select an alternate setting in the Proxy type box. The options are None, Socks4, Socks4a, or Socks5. If you select any option other than None, enter the properties as follows:
In the Proxy host box, enter the host name or IP address for the proxy server.
Change the proxy port number if needed. The default proxy port is 1028.
If you are using Socks5 and want to use authentication, select the Use authentication check box, and enter the user ID and password.

When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
