Connect to Network Action—Setting Properties

The Dialup action is used to establish or disconnect a dial-up internet connection.

To set Dialup properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Internet folder and double-click the Dialup action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. Select the action you want to perform: Establish a connection, Disconnect a specific connection or Disconnect all connections.

  3. If you are establishing a connection or disconnecting a specific connection, select from the Phone book entries list. To establish a connection not in your Windows phone book, select Use manual settings and enter the phone number, user name, and password in the boxes below.

  4. If you are establishing a connection and want to re-dial if the first attempt fails, select Redial settings. Then enter the number of attempts and the delay between attempts in the boxes below.

  5. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  6. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  7. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
