Concatenate Files Action—Setting Properties

The Concatenate Files action is used to concatenate two files and output the result to a specified third file.

To set Concatenate Files properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the folder and double-click the Concatenate Files action or drag it into the Steps pane. The following properties dialog appears:

  1. In the File A box, click the Open Folder button , navigate to the first file, and click Open.

  2. In the File B box, click the Open Folder button, navigate to the second file, and click Open.

  3. In the Concatenated file box, click the Open Folder button, navigate to the desired location, enter a file name, and click Save.

  4. If you want the concatenated file to overwrite any existing file, select Overwrite if file exists.

  5. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  6. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  7. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
