The Backup AutoMate action is used to create a compressed backup file of AutoMate tasks and registry settings.
From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the AutoMate folder and double-click the Backup AutoMate action or drag it into the Steps pane.
Select the desired check boxes to specify the type of backup:
Backup tasks and triggers: backs up managed tasks.
Backup registry settings for current user: backs up the current user registry settings such as toolbar arrangement and fonts.
Backup registry settings for local machine: backs up the registry settings for the current machine, such as task speed and error handling.
In the Archive location box, enter the path and file name for the backup. You can use the Open Folder button to navigate to the location.
If you want to use a custom description, click the Description tab, select Use custom step description, and type the description. This description will display in the Steps pane in place of the default description.
To set error handling, refer to Step Error Handling.
Click OK when finished.
