Set AD Object Property Action—Setting Properties

The Set AD Object Property action sets the specified property of the specified Active Directory object to the desired value.

To set the Set AD Object Property action's properties:

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Active Directory folder and double-click the Set AD Object Property action or drag it into the Steps pane. The following dialog box appears:

  1. In the Path field, enter the LDAP pathname.

  2. Click the Select Object button to select and active directory object.

  3. Click the Select Container button to navigate to a container.

  4. In the Property name field, enter the name of the AD object property.

  5. In the Property value field, enter the value to assign to the AD object property.

  6. Click the Credentials tab.

  7. Enter a username and password in their respective fields.

  8. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  9. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  10. When finished, click OK to save settings.
