Get AD Object Property Action - Setting Properties

The Get AD Object Property action retrieves and populates an AutoMate BPA Server 7 variable with the value of the specified property of the requested object at the provided path.

To set the Get AD Object Property:

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Active Directory folder and double-click the Get AD Object Property action or drag it into the Steps pane. The following dialog box appears:

  1. In the Path field, enter the LDAP pathname.

  2. Click the Select Object button to select and active directory object.

  3. Click the Select Container button to navigate to a container.

  4. In the Property name field, enter the name of the property of the object from the pathname provided in the Path field.

  5. In the Populate variable with path, enter the name of the variable you want to populate with pathname from the Path field.

  6. Click the Credentials tab.

  7. Enter a username and password in their respective fields.

  8. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  9. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  10. When finished, click OK to save settings.
