How long have you been with Network Automation?

I joined Network Automation in March of 2008.

What is your title?

Sales Representative

What's the best part of your job?

I would say the communications that I have with people every day. I am able to talk with people in all industries and in various roles, so it is really amazing seeing the different landscapes of people. Also, hearing about all the different tasks that they want to AutoMate with our software is a real eye opener.

What's the most challenging aspect of your job?

Again, communicating with so many different types of people. What I mean by this is that since everyone is so unique in what they want to use the software for, you really have to remain attentive to ensure you understand their needs. Two people may have the same needs, but the way they express it or describe it can sound nothing alike.

AutoMate BPA Server 7 has a lot of outstanding features. Which ones are you most excited to educate customers about?

BPA Server 7's workflow designer is probably the most impressive. When I first started, I liked to set up mock workflows and different tasks at each point. I think for me, seeing it visually, it helped to better understand how difference processes could work.

What's your best advice for someone trying AutoMate BPA Server 7 for the first time?

Don't give up! We have so many resources here to help you through the beginning stages and the outcome is almost always worth it. If you take a look at the tutorials, or more importantly talk to someone at Network Automation, you will find out quickly how easy it really is.

Walk us through a typical day for you in the sales department?

I always start with my morning coffee. After that, I would go through my emails and start getting in touch with my clients. It usually will take me into lunchtime after which I finish up my follow ups and email.

What's the best thing about working for Network Automation?

Helping people uncover the abilities of AutoMate. I can't tell you how many times people have been in shock at what AutoMate could accomplish for them. Things that would take days for people to accomplish are now done in hours. I have had so many people thank me for such a great product (and of course I took all the credit).

Where's your hometown?

Philadelphia (Anyone want to ship over a cheese steak?)

What's your favorite sports team and why?

I would have to say the Syracuse Lacrosse team. I grew up playing lacrosse and really enjoyed watching the Gait brothers play. If you have never played lacrosse, you are missing out.

How do you usually spend your weekends?

I am usually with my wife on the weekends catching a movie and food or doing some shopping (well watching her shop). But I do try and get outside as much as possible or take a drive up the coast - very relaxing for me.

What was the happiest moment in your life?

When I found out my wife was pregnant. It was the happiest and scariest at the same time. It is one of those defining moments that you know is going to change your life forever.

What's something your coworkers don't know about you?

Probably the fact I used to be a DJ in Boston at nightclubs. During college I used to DJ every Thursday night at a club in Boston. A lot of my friends really didn't believe I did this until they would come to the club and see me with a shocked look on their face.

Describe your idea of the perfect vacation?

Definitely someplace with crystal blue waters, white sand beaches, a cigar, and a drink. Just relaxing with my family and getting massages every couple of hours. Simple.

What will you be doing when you retire?

Maybe I will buy a club and DJ again. I might have to pay people to come to the club though.
