Here's the dilemma: You need to synchronize a set of files from a network share to a SharePoint team site on a daily basis, but these files are not just going into one SharePoint document library. You have to evaluate each of their file names, look up their SharePoint destinations from a SQL database table, and upload each of them to the appropriate SharePoint library.
This sample task will demonstrate how AutoMate can download a single file (document) and all files stored in the 'Shared Documents' library of SharePoint. This task is referenced in the December 2010 Newsletter.
This post highlights how useful our forums can be, as well as the AutoMate prowess of Jean Delfosse, one of Network Automation's independent A-Team members.
In this thread keep an eye out for our comic relief A-Team member, Scott, who always comes up with something funny yet helpful to add to our forums.
We have a process directory on a document management server that we watch. This directory is the input directory where files are dropped that need to be picked up and processed into our document imaging system.
Is it possible, either through AM6 commands or BASIC script to determine the free space available on hard drive(s) and then write this data to a text file.
I am trying to create a task that will open up a log file and look for "yy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss Returned status: General failure".
I have a text file with some tags and paragraphs that I want to delete For example, I want Automate to remove EVERYTHING in between the <h1> and the #BREAK# tags below, including the tags themselves. An example is the paragraph below:
One example is this: We created sample texts to be posted on a web server on specific set times. We used Task Builder's Send Keystrokes function and used Paste Characters option. There we included special characters and inserted our text and attached our files as well.
I really did not want to post this but I could not find the info in the manual nor on the forums. How the heck do I deploy the automate agent to a remote machine so I can then deploy a task to it? Thanks
