Eliminating Action Sprawl - AutoMate 8 Tour - Part 4

The actions found in AutoMate and BPA Server are the heart of the platform, where executable automation can be acheived by dragging and dropping each action together into a sequence of steps, but what do you do when there are "too many actions"? This article explores the new concepts in AutoMate 8 of "Activities," the system devised to handle them, and how this translates to a superior experience.

Automate VMware - AutoMate 8 Tour -- Part 2

Virtualization is one of the hottest trends in IT today. Virtualization has valuable applications for controlling hardware costs, minimizing downtime, and many quality assurance and development benefits for it's ability to keep certain processes in a "sandbox" isolated from the host operating system. Additionally, of use to almost everyone is the ability to quickly return to a "known-good" snapshot of an environment. Needless to say, virtualization has become a key part of most IT infrastructures. What's missing in this picture is the ability to integrate the automation of these virtual machines with the rest of your business processes. Learn how the new VMWare actions in AutoMate solve this problem.
Reach for the Cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Automation - AutoMate 8 Tour -- Part 1

We all have heard of the cloud and what it's going to enable us to do. We have even heard about certain tools that will enable effective management of cloud services in real-time. A Windows Guy on an Apple Phone
I have a confession to make. A few weeks ago I caved and bought an iPhone. At first I thought I might pass. After all, I have been a Treo user for over 2 years (both Palm and Windows Mobile flavors) and I was fairly certain I would miss the vast array of available software, the built-in Windows Remote Desktop, and of course the 3g support. Not to mention the fact that I have not historically been a fan of Apple products, in particular their operating system and software. But most importantly... I refuse to wait in line to buy a telephone.
Welcome to Our New Feature, CEO’s Corner!
The goal of this space is to improve communication with users of our software by providing a very direct channel to the top level of Network Automation. In the coming months, I hope to cover topics ranging from my thoughts on the technology industry, current plans underway here at Network Automation, perhaps a few tips and tricks to check out with our software and I am sure a few random thoughts now and then. I want to strike an informal but informative tone here, so that you won't have to read through the "corporate-speak", to get the information you need. I would also like this to be a collaborative process.
