Automation Workflows Visual Enterprise Automation
Graphical workflows are the cornerstone of AutoMate BPA Server. A workflow (or flow diagram) is a high-level graphical representation of an IT or business process, which might involve processing on multiple servers across the network.
- The main components of workflows include conditions, tasks, and flow control objects.
- Conditions are network or system events that can initiate workflow execution or provide the basis for conditional event-based decision-making.
- Tasks, which can be simple or complex, involve the instructions for executing a series of processing steps.
- Flow control objects allow for the inclusion of complex logic within the workflow and conditional branching.
- Workflows are managed and administered in the Management Console, an application included with AutoMate BPA Server.
BPA Server Management Console
The Server Management Console provides centralized management and administration of automated processes in distributed networks.
- User-Based Roles, Rights, and Views - Users must log into Management Console, and administrators can specify a given user's role, rights, and views. Options for roles include designer (who can only create workflows, but not enable them), developer (who can create full-blown workflows and tasks, but cannot put them into production), and administrator (who has complete access and control over everything including the authority to promote objects from development/testing to production).
- Agent Management - Management Console provides tools for installing and uninstalling agents responsible for workflow processing. Administrators can see all agents connected to the server and the maximum number of agents the server can support.
- Reusable Object Repository - Objects created in AutoMate BPA Server are automatically stored in the Repository. Administrators and developers have access to all objects in the repository including workflows, tasks, and conditions. These objects can easily be edited and incorporated into new workflows.
- Reporting - To view workflow execution in real time or track historical performance, Management Console provides a rich reporting interface. A wide selection of summary graphs, charts and tables display the status and properties of workflows, allowing operators to see the system status at a glance.
Why AutoMate? Orchestrate, Integrate, AutoMate.
The need for automation is clear. As organizations grow so do the complexities of their business processes. Automating these processes allows for better customer service, increased productivity, and the ability to capitalize on new revenue opportunities while lowering total cost of ownership.
These processes can be high level in nature or tactical and targeted. They can span across the organization or focus on functional areas such as the IT department. Regardless of the scope of your core processes the answer is still the same - automation makes business processes faster; more manageable, secure, and efficient; and less prone to error and delay.
AutoMate drives real business value by streamlining business operations without writing a single line of code. Through our intuitive drag and drop interface and large bank of actions and triggers no job is too big to handle.
