Network Automation announces new update for AutoMate Automation Software

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Update 6.0.4 enables automatic task triggers, system monitoring, and terminal emulation

Los Angeles, California, June 21, 2005
In an attempt to boost business productivity through the sophisticated automation of business processes, Network Automation today announced the release of the 6.0.4 update to it's innovative AutoMate software. AutoMate is the leading software for the automation of front and back-office IT tasks, and offers a variety of features that enable IT professionals to quickly automate projects, including scheduling, monitoring and integrating IT systems. The software's 6.0.4 update takes the program to a new level, offering improvements in logging, remote triggering, and terminal emulation.

Using the new update, AutoMate administrators will be able to easily monitor system activity over defined time periods. The software's external database logging has been overhauled, and with the 6.0.4 update will support optional logging to third party database system, such as SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL. Users who do not use a third party database server can continue to use AutoMate's internal database engine, which has been optimized to for speed and efficiency.

Additionally, AutoMate's 6.0.4 update will allow users to create AutoMate tasks that are automatically triggered by user-specified criteria, and can set off a chain of reactions within the software, passing on information to various parties while completing specified tasks in the network. These tasks can be triggered across the LAN or WAN, allowing users to integrate multiple systems together to schedule activities.

Finally, AutoMate enables administrators to automate legacy terminal-based systems using AutoMate's Enterprise Terminal Actions, all without the use of a third party terminal emulation software. With AutoMate's 6.0.4 update, users can now support additional emulation standards, such as TN3270 and TN5250 (commonly used by AS/400 users).
AutoMate's new 6.0.4 update is available from leading software retailers such as CDW, Software Spectrum, Programmers Paradise, and ASAP Software, as well as directly from Network Automation. The update is free of charge to licensed users of AutoMate 6. New users can purchase the professional version of 6.0.4 for $795, or the enterprise version for $2495.
