Version 6.2 Of Network Automation's AutoMate Automation Software Unveiled, Featuring Windows Vista Support
New Version Adds Power and Increased Reliability to Leading Solution for Automating Front- and Back-Office IT Tasks
Los Angeles, June 18, 2007
Network Automation, Inc., the leader in automation software, today announced the release of AutoMate Version 6.2, the latest upgrade to the company's flagship business process automation platform. Leading the news in AutoMate 6.2 is its support for Windows Vista and enhanced security, along with several enhancements to AutoMate's Task Administrator that simplify runtime reconnects and deployment of tasks to multiple servers and/or desktop PCs.
AutoMate has risen to the top of the automation software marketplace due to its remarkable ease-of-use and power. The application allows users to automate any repetitive computing task—from small jobs on workstations to network-wide "intelligent" processing routines—using a visual design metaphor easy enough for novices to understand. AutoMate's drag-and-drop task building interface eliminates code writing; detailed task steps are displayed in plain English, making task development and maintenance less costly and more manageable.
AutoMate 6.2 has been tailored for Vista, including support for Vista functionality and security protocols. It also showcases the new interface technologies that make Vista a more pleasant user experience, and enhances the multiple-machine deployment capabilities of Task Administrator. Additionally, AutoMate 6.2 includes a number of performance tweaks that boost efficiency and ensure reliable task execution under even the most demanding conditions. Together, Version 6.2's improvements make it AutoMate's most advanced iteration yet, bringing speed, convenience and unparalleled versatility to the automation of routine computing chores.
"AutoMate has become the automation solution of choice at over 14,000 customer sites because it bridges the gap between power and usability. Version 6.2 continues this tradition not only through its Windows Vista support, but also by streamlining the creation and execution of tasks," said Dustin Snell, founder and CEO of Network Automation. "Users will find AutoMate Version 6.2 to be a strong new platform for virtually any kind of process automation."
AutoMate 6.2's Task Administrator boasts several operational refinements. When a runtime agent is disconnected, for example, reconnection occurs automatically simply by reselecting the item. Several features have also been added to make deployment and updating of tasks across multiple-machine networks much faster and more intuitive.
AutoMate 6.2 is available in both Professional and Enterprise Editions; AutoMate Professional costs $995 for a single machine license, while AutoMate Enterprise starts at $2995 for a single machine license. Version 6.2 is now available and can be purchased directly through Network Automation or from any AutoMate authorized reseller.
