Update August 15th, 2018: Network Automation products are now available on Fortra.com.

Los Angeles, October 15, 2013

Network Automation, which set the industry standard in server and desktop automation with the launch of its original Automate line in 2004, today announced the latest Automate product family update: Automate 10. Featuring an improved interface, Automate 10 takes no-code task development to a whole new level with simple drag-and-drop deployment and unparalleled cloud, server and software integration capabilities.

Automate 10 reimagined and reorganized its Action Library of more than 600 actions and activities to make it easier to create tasks. This, along with improved drag-and-drop capabilities to the Task Builder, gives users the power to build custom tasks quickly, helping them move from concept to production in record time.

New actions in Automate 10 include:

  • AWS DynamoDB and AWS SES to support database and email activities on Amazon Web Service
  • Image to natively manipulate images and provide image recognition
  • PDF to eliminate the need to use third-party applications in the creation and reading of these files
  • PowerShell to enable and extend the use of Microsoft’s scripting tool
  • Custom Dialog to enable easy form design
  • Facebook to support social media outreach

This current release builds upon Network Automation’s belief that development of automation solutions should be simple, no matter the robustness of the task at hand. Instead of requiring IT teams to generate, memorize and manage custom scripts throughout complex systems, Automate 10’s code and syntax-free scripting capabilities allow users to automate key tasks and processes without writing batch files and custom scripts, enabling IT professionals to focus on more strategic priorities and reduce code maintenance costs. Automate 10 also offers event log monitoring and automatic error correction capabilities that eliminate the need for manual intervention from IT staff.

“When IT teams are bogged down in code generation and maintenance, they have less time to engage in creative thinking to support core business goals,” said Dustin Snell, CEO and Founder of Network Automation, Inc. “Automate 10 helps create a true partnership between business and IT leaders by giving technology professionals more time to innovate and work with colleagues across business units to gain a competitive edge.”

One game-changing feature in Automate 10 is improved Java support, with a Windows Dissection Engine that works with native Java applications for greater levels of business process automation. Automate 10 also includes a new modern UI styling. With flat, vector graphics and elegant, clean lines, Automate 10 reduces the noise and clutter for more efficient task creation. This version offers a nice complement to the new Microsoft Windows design as well.

To power larger-scale, more complex and/or multi-user implementations, Automate users can choose Automate BPA Server 10 for intelligent automation with workflows and conditions for seamless interactions. Automate BPA Server 10 delivers intuitive graphical workflows— flowcharts to illustrate and automate IT and business processes across multiple servers.

Automate BPA Server 10 enables remote management with scalable, multi-machine automation to allow users to effortlessly scale to meet demand. The centralized console-control and real-time monitoring dashboard accommodate today’s more mobile workforces, and a repository for reusable automation assets eliminates the need to create new tasks and conditions for each workflow, enabling more efficient development. BPA Server improvements in the new release include the addition of new version control capabilities, streamlined workflows and upgraded security.

New Automate 10 features include added Triggers for event-driven automation, allowing users to create solutions for unscheduled events and conditions to meet real-world business requirements. Additionally, Network Automation made its popular Automate Wizard even smarter by updating the Task Wizard and adding a new Workflow Wizard in Automate BPA Server 10.

The culmination of nearly a decade of experience, Network Automation’s new Automate 10 streamlines front-end workflows and delivers enhanced back-end capabilities to enable even better IT-business collaboration.
