Network Automation Working on Automation of Virtualized Processes

Network Automation has released enhancements to its AutoMate BPA (Business Process Automation) Server that will enable users to use Web services in automation routines without having to script. In addition, the enhancements to AutoMate BPA Server 7.0.8 will automatically create, modify or delete Microsoft Outlook objects-including calendar and contact entries-bases on pre-set event triggers, and will build automation workflows for groups of agent machines, which will speed up workflow assembly for systems that do the same tasks.

Baptist Health Saves Money, Time with Health Automation System

February 2009

Baptist Health South Florida saw a large return on investment while using AutoMate as its health automations system, said Jason Stoyles, corporate manager of interfaces and integration. "About four years ago we had a problem that we needed to solve with claims processing," he said. The software improved the third party billing process, streamlining it. In all, he said, the system has seen a savings, on all processes, of about $250,000 since implementation.

Tech Talk: Restaurant Automates Processes

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse, a restaurant chain based in Huntington Beach, Calif. opened in 1978 with one restaurant but has grown rapidly and now has 82 restaurants scattered throughout the South, Southwest and Midwest. Brian Pearson, vice president of information services, tells IncTechnology.com that a network automation server helped the restaurant change menu prices across the company in 15 minutes - as opposed to six hours.

"We had just adopted a new reinsurance system when the IT person administrating our month-end closing tasks left the company," recalls Medmarc developer Chris Prime. "And we quickly realized we were babysitting far too many manual processes."
