Sending or Printing Tasks

You can use Task Builder to print out a task or to send it in an email message. You can send a single task in the body of an e-mail message or as an attachment, or you can send all open tasks as attachments to a single message. In email messages, the task is sent in .AML format. Printed tasks match the display visible at the time the task prints.

Emailing a Task


You can send a task via email by displaying the task in the body of the email or adding the task as an email attachment.  

To send a task via email:

  1. If using the Ribbon interface, click the Application button and select Send from the menu that appears (as shown below).

OR

If using the Menu/Toolbar interface, on the File menu, point to Send to

  1. Select one of the following send options:

  1. An Outlook message window opens with the task or tasks included.

  2. Enter the e-mail address or addresses and click Send. The message is sent according to your existing Outlook settings.

Printing a Task


The steps of a task can be printed for hard copy purposes. It can be printed in AML mode or Visual (plain English) mode. Printed tasks match the display visible at the time the task prints.

To print a task:

  1. If using the Ribbon interface, click the Application button and select Print from the menu that appears.

OR

If using the Menu/Toolbar interface, on the File menu, click Print.

  1. Enter the print specifications in the Print dialog box, and click OK.
