The Audit Event table provides a table view of all the auditing events related to Automate BPA Server. This includes events such as when a particular automation object was created, removed or modified, when an Agent was registered or unregistered, when a license was added or removed, when a task or workflow was imported or exported and a number of other events. This table also tracks the user who performed each event.
This report is ideal from a project management standpoint because it helps administrators or managers easily track the condition and progress of team assignments or projects by monitoring all aspects of task and workflow creation, development and modification. This can aid team members as well by allowing everyone on the team to view what projects others on the team are responsible for as well as the status of those projects.
The Audit Event table includes a general filtering option of DateTime. It also includes a right-click menu for more filtering options.
The DateTime drop-down provides the following filter options:
All Dates: No date filters applied.
Today: Events today are included in the report.
Yesterday: Events that occurred yesterday are included in the report.
Last 7 days: Events that ocurred over the last week (7 days) are included in the report.
Last 30 days: Events that occurred over the last month (30 days) are included in the report.
After this date/time: Events that occurred after the date/time specified will be included in the report.
Before this date/time: Events that occurred before the date/time specified will be included in the report.
Custom: Events that occurred between the specified date/time will be included in the report.
Right-clicking a particular report column presents the menu shown below which supplies more filtering options:
Sorts the selected column in ascending view.
Sorts the selected column in descending view.
Clears all sorting and returns all columns to default view (Enabled only when sorting is used).
Puts the selected column into a group. Numerous columns can be grouped for added filtering.
Provides a section directly above the column headers in which a column can be dragged onto in order to group by that column. This is generally another way to perform the same action accomplished by the Group by this column option above. Numerous columns can be dragged for added filtering. For example, the illustration below shows the Name column (circled in red) of the Repository table grouped in descending order. Also, right clicking this section provides another menu (also illustrated below) with the following options:
Expands the selected group.
Collapses the selected view.
Clears all grouping and sets the table back to the default view.
Allows the selection of a column to further customize.
Provides the best fit for the selected column.
Clears all filters (Enabled only when filters are used).
Opens a dialog titled Filter Editor (shown below) permitting more detailed filtering options. A multitude of conditions are available allowing for practically any type of filter to be included. For instance, in a Repository table, the example shown below will filter the Name column with names that begin with A or E and does not contain the word ERROR.
Provides the best fit for all available columns.
The Execute Event table contains the following columns:
EventDateTime: The date and time when the event occurred.
EventText: Detailed information in regards to the event that occurred.
EventType: The type of event that occurred (i.e. Workflow_Edited, Folder_Created, Task_Moved, License_Added).
StatusType: Whether performance of the event was a success or failure.
Right-clicking anywhere inside the table presents the menu shown below.
Allows selection of columns in which to show/hide. All columns are shown by default. To hide a column, select it to remove its corresponding check-mark.
