Preferences affect an assortment of visual and operational characteristics in the Server Management Console. These settings allow you to control the SMC's real-time logging instructions, viewing preferences and system prompting characteristics. It also provides a section where you can check the current product version and specify how often the SMC should check for new version updates. To view or modify SMC Preferences, from the Navigation Pane, select Options -> Preferences. The main viewing area becomes populated with the list of available preferences (as shown below).

Available Server Settings

Logging Output

Controls real-time information that is to be output by the SMC.


 Determines how the SMC should  behave in response to certain actions.

Check Product Version

Provides your current version and determines the interval in which updates should be checked.
