Overview

The AutoMate Task Execution Calendar provides a timetable format that supplies detailed information about the results of previously executed tasks as well as tasks that are scheduled to run in the future (with the use of a Schedule trigger). By default, the calendar is displayed in the month view (as shown below). It can also be viewed daily, by the 5-day work week, weekly or yearly. The Daily view supplies a detailed hour-by-hour list of task events displayed for the selected day. You can click on a particular run instance to view details and execution statistics about that event. The Calendar's format is similar to MS Office Calendar's design, which enables you to quickly select a day, week, or month to view in the main viewing area. Dates that are displayed in bold type indicate that there is at least one task item for that day. The Calendar can be accessed via the Task Administrator's Navigation Pane by simply selecting the Calendar button.

Date Navigator

The Date Navigator is a small calendar that appears in the left pane that allows for point and click selection of specific dates. Dates that are boldfaced indicate that they contain task events. The current day is always enclosed in a red box. You can adjust the main viewing area of the calendar to show several consecutive days or weeks as well as non-consecutive days or weeks.

Navigation options

The following is a list of common Date Navigator operations:

Customization

You can customize the Date Navigator to show more than the default two months in the Navigation Pane. To do this, rest the mouse pointer on the split bar to the right of the Date Navigator. The pointer will become a double arrow. Drag the double arrow cursor to the right until additional months are displayed.

Drag across a range of dates in the mini-calendar (up to a maximum of six weeks). The selected date range will be displayed in a format similar to Month view.

View Buttons
