FTP Change Folder Action—Setting Properties

The FTP Change Folder action is used to change the working folder on an FTP server so that relative paths may be used in other actions, such as FTP Upload or FTP Download. If you use full paths to designate locations on the FTP server, this action is not needed. The FTP Log On action must be used first to begin the FTP transaction and connect with the server.

To set FTP Change Folder properties

  1. From the Task Builder Available Actions pane, open the Internet\FTP folder and double-click the FTP Change Folder action or drag it into the Steps pane.

  2. In the Remote folder box, enter the fully qualified UNIX path to the new folder, or click the Open Folder button and use the FTP browser to navigate to the location.

  3. In the Session name box, enter the name of the FTP session. The name is set in the FTP Log On action.

  4. To set the Description tab properties, refer to Description Tab Options.

  5. To set the Error Causes and On Error tab properties, refer to Step Error Handling.

  6. When finished, click OK to save settings and close the properties dialog window.
